These terms govern your use of Hita, a WhatsApp helper service, and of annusmirabilis.io. Both are provided by Annus Mirabilis LLP (“we”, “us”). By using Hita or this website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Hita helps you over WhatsApp with:
- Scam checks: we look at a message you forward and give our opinion on whether it's safe.
- Reminders that you set.
- Errands such as mobile recharges, utility bill payments and gas booking, which our team completes after the payer approves and pays.
Hita uses software, including AI, together with human operators. It is a helper, not a bank, payment system, lawyer, doctor or government service.
2. Who can use Hita
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Indian law. A family member may set Hita up for you, but you must give your own consent on WhatsApp before we help you.
3. Scam checks are advice, not a guarantee
Scams change constantly. Our scam check is our best opinion based on the message you share, and it can be wrong. A message we mark as “looks okay” may still be fraudulent. Never share OTPs, PINs or passwords with anyone, including us. If you think you've lost money, call 1930 or report it at cybercrime.gov.in right away.
4. Payments, fees and refunds
- Bill payments and recharges are paid by you or your linked family member through a licensed payment partner. We do not hold your money in a wallet, and we never debit your bank account ourselves.
- Before we act on any task, we confirm the amount and details with whoever is paying. Please check them carefully. We are not responsible for errors in details you give us, such as a wrong consumer or mobile number.
- Subscription or service fees, if any, are shown before you pay.
- If a task fails after payment, we will either complete it or refund the task amount to the original payment method, usually within 7 working days. Refunds depend on the biller or operator; once a biller has accepted a payment, we can only help you raise a dispute with them.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Hita to break the law, harass anyone, send spam, impersonate others, attempt fraud, or try to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend or end access for misuse. You must also follow WhatsApp's terms.
6. Third-party services
Hita depends on WhatsApp, billers, mobile operators, payment partners and other third parties. We are not responsible for their outages, delays, charges or decisions, though we will help you follow up.
7. Intellectual property
“Hita”, “Annus Mirabilis”, our logos, content and software belong to Annus Mirabilis LLP. You may not use them without our written permission.
8. Disclaimers and liability
Hita and this website are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Annus Mirabilis LLP is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim relating to a task is limited to the amount you paid us for that task, plus any fee you paid us in the previous 3 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
9. Ending the service
You can stop using Hita at any time: send “STOP” on WhatsApp. We may stop offering Hita, or part of it, with reasonable notice where possible. Any pending task you have already paid for will be completed or refunded.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact our Grievance Officer first; most issues can be sorted out quickly. If a dispute can't be resolved, the courts with jurisdiction over our registered office will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to your rights as a consumer.
